Cinco de Mayo with Flaco

May 5, 2012

This is being posted on May 5, Cinco de Mayo. Not to be confused with Mexican Independence Day, it is a celebration of freedom marking the day when the Mexican army whupped the French in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. What better excuse than to share some Tejano/Conjunto music from Flaco Jiménez, the great Tex-Mex-American accordionist. Good old  Freddy Fender is in there as well.
